Mad Labs Repair, we believe repair should feel simple, clear, and reassuring. This policy outlines how shipping works, how we handle your device, and what you can expect during the repair process. Our goal is to create a smooth, transparent experience from the moment you send your device in to the moment it returns home.
1. Sending Your Device InShipping to Us
Customers are responsible for shipping their devices to Mad Labs Repair.
For safety, we recommend using a
trackable, insured service. We cannot accept responsibility for packages lost or damaged before they arrive.
Packaging
Please pack your device securely. Damage caused by poor packaging cannot be covered by our warranty or liability.
Lost or Damaged Inbound Shipments
If a package is lost or arrives damaged, the shipping carrier will handle the claim. We’ll assist where we can, but the carrier is responsible for resolution.
2. Return Shipping From Mad Labs RepairHow We Ship Back
Return shipping fees are included in your final invoice unless noted otherwise. All packages ship with tracking.
Insurance OptionsInsurance is optional and not included by default. If you’d like your return shipment insured, just let us know—we’ll add it at cost.
Lost or Damaged Outbound Shipments
If a return shipment is lost or damaged, we’ll help you navigate the carrier claim process.
Coverage is limited to what the carrier provides unless optional insurance was purchased.
3. Diagnostic ProcessClear & Straightforward Diagnostics
Some categories include a free diagnostic. Others may have a diagnostic fee, which we always disclose before you ship your device.
Your Choice, Always
After diagnostics, you choose whether to approve or decline the repair. If you decline:You pay only return shippingPlus any diagnostic fee (if applicable)We return the device exactly as it arrived.
4. Repair Approval & PaymentTransparent Estimates
We begin repairs only after you approve the quote.
Payment
Payment is required before we ship your repaired device back.
We accept major payment methods listed at checkout.
If We Find Something Additional
If we uncover new issues during repair, we’ll pause and contact you.
You’re never charged for extra work without approval.
5. Turnaround Time
Repair timelines vary based on parts availability and current volume.
We’ll always provide an estimate, but some factors—like part lead times—are outside our control.
6. Limited Repair WarrantyOur Commitment
Every completed repair includes a
limited warranty (typically 30–90 days depending on the device and service). It covers:The specific repair we performedDefects in parts we installed.
What Isn’t Covered
Our warranty doesn’t apply to:New or unrelated issuesAccidents, liquid damage, or misuseAttempts at self-repair or third-party work after servicePre-existing damage that worsens naturally over time
Warranty Repairs
If an issue is covered by warranty:You pay only shipping to usWe cover the verified warranty repair and return shipping.
7. When a Device Can’t Be Repaired
Some devices have underlying issues—corrosion, failed circuits, aging components—that may cause them to stop working during evaluation or repair.
If this happens, and the failure is linked to pre-existing conditions, Mad Labs Repair cannot be held responsible.If a device is ultimately non-repairable:You pay only return shippingOr we can recycle the device at your request.
8. Unclaimed Devices
If a device is left unpaid or unclaimed for
60 days after diagnostic or repair completion, we’ll consider it abandoned.
We’ll reach out multiple times before taking action.Abandoned devices may be:RecycledDisposed ofOr harvested for parts (only after all reasonable contact attempts)
9. Returns, Refunds & CancellationsRepairs Are Final
Because repairs involve labor, diagnostics, and parts, completed repairs are
non-refundable.
Before Work Begins
You may cancel any time before the repair starts. You’ll only be responsible for:Return shippingDiagnostic fee (if applicable)
Parts Orders
Once a part is ordered on your behalf, that portion of the repair becomes non-refundable.
10. Your Data
We always treat your device with care, but backups are your responsibility.
Mad Labs Repair is not responsible for data loss during diagnostics or repair.
11. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to:The cost of the repair you paid
or The current fair market value of the device
Whichever is lower.
We are not responsible for data loss, usage loss, or any consequential or incidental damages.
These limitations are standard across the repair industry.
